At Fukuro Legal, we firmly believe that the future of the legal profession lies in innovation and entrepreneurship. For this reason, we are committed to supporting programs such as “Emprende con Causa”, an initiative promoted by Abogacía Joven ICAM and the ICAM Cortina Foundation, aimed at young lawyers who wish to establish their own law firms or launch innovative legal projects.
This program has now reached its third edition and already counts on the participation of more than 45 young members of the Bar. It provides them with practical training, professional mentoring, and the necessary tools to transform their ideas into viable projects. All of this is carried out in collaboration with the Madrid Chamber of Commerce, granting participants access to top-tier resources and training.
During the program’s inaugural session, we took part in a roundtable discussion on the challenges and opportunities of entrepreneurship within the legal sector. Together with Carmen M., Diego San Martín Rodríguez, and Quiara López Ferrer, we shared our experiences and the lessons learned from undertaking entrepreneurial ventures in the legal field. Jorge Agüero, our founding partner, conveyed a key message: “We are fortunate to work in a profession that allows us to operate independently at a historical moment marked by unprecedented access to and development of technology, which enables faster access to sources of law and to clients anywhere in the world.” This reflection highlights how technology has made the practice of law more flexible and accessible, removing geographical barriers and enhancing efficiency in case management and client relationships.
The legal profession is in a constant state of evolution, and new generations of lawyers benefit from digital tools that allow them to operate with greater autonomy and manage legal projects more efficiently.
