We were pleased to announce that Jorge Agüero, Managing Partner at Fukuro Legal, was a featured speaker at the 2025 PILnet Global Forum in Rome. The PILnet Global Forum brought together legal professionals, non-profit leaders, and social impact advocates from around the world. This year, the forum provided a platform to discuss how the legal community can better address global challenges through pro bono work and innovative approaches.
Jorge led a session titled “Navigating the Emotional and Ethical Challenges of Pro Bono Work,” where he explored the complexities that legal professionals often face when providing pro bono services. From managing emotional strain to making ethical decisions under pressure, Jorge shared practical strategies for navigating these challenges while staying true to the core values of social justice and legal ethics.
He was accompanied by Zsófia Nagy, Tamás Sziklai, Daniel Tras, and F. Christian Di Nardo, as they together contributed valuable perspectives on balancing empathy, ethics, and impact in pro bono practice.
This session offered attendees valuable insights on maintaining a high standard of ethical practice while effectively managing the personal and professional demands of pro bono work.
The PILnet Global Forum remained an inspiring event that gathered experts, advocates, and legal professionals to discuss how law can be used to create positive social change. With thought-provoking discussions and a global network of changemakers, the 2025 edition in Rome was a unique opportunity to explore how the legal community can better serve society.
